New partners sought to write training materials

The European Commission and the European Patent Office have agreed to run another two year project, intending to increase the range and reach of existing ip4inno teaching materials.  New modules are proposed, as well as updates, translations and e-learning versions, as listed in the Description of Work

New and former partners are now invited to bid to provide new or updated teaching materials particularly with regard to IP enforcement topics and business planning.  All such teaching material should fit defined learning goals and come with full notes for a teacher who might not be an IP expert himself/herself.  An excerpt from module 5B is provided here to show what is required for speaking notes.  Applications should be made on this form by the deadline of 21 September 2010.

Autumn workshops using the new material

Many of the modules have already been revised or updated during the summer.  Entirely new modules have been created too, on topics like IP licensing, valuation and financing.  The European Patent Office is hosting workshops at its four main offices during October & November, and is pleased to be trialling much of this new material in the programmes for the very first time.  Many of the authors of the new materials will be presenting the modules they have written (in English), so there will never be a better time to hear the latest IP strategy modules explained by the real experts.  Different modules will be on offer at the four workshops, so click on all the links below to find out more.

ip4inno is a "Best Practice" example

The PRO INNO EUROPE website has published a report on the first ip4inno project, which is considered to be a role model for other innovation supporting projects.  The "Best Practice" fact sheet explains the strengths and successes of the first project.  The website also includes a short film about the project from those involved in creating the training material, those who taught with it, and those who it helped to improve their business strategies through better IP knowledge.
